I find tutoring fulfilling because I enjoy working with kids and young adults one-on-one and watching them grow as learners. For me, the most satisfying part of being a teacher is helping my students discover their strengths and gifts as people and working with them to develop tools to overcome their challenges.
HobbiesReading is one of my favorite hobbies, and I enjoy a variety of books at all levels from children to adult. I also like to write poetry, draw, and paint. Right now I'm learning to play guitar; my favorite music is jazz. I'm also an avid hiker and hike every weekend. My favorite sports are baseball and soccer. I love to travel, and I've lived and traveled in Europe and India. One of my life goals is to speak Spanish fluently--and I'm getting there!
